About the Collection.

sonder – n. the realization that each random passerby is living a life as vivid and complex as your own.

A word coined by John Koenig.

As an individual, I often wonder about the lives of those who have passed our physical world. Gravestones are a representation of those below them. At the least, each stone in a cemetery often lists a name along with dates of birth and death. However, there is always the mystery of who that person was. With their gravestone as evidence, many have been forgotten about and erased from our world. Each stone stands withered away and decrepit without any sign of being visited. This series is intended to pay homage of those who are gone and forgotten by giving them one last chance as the focal point.
